New Report "Vitamin Intake and Risk of Hearing Loss in Men"

There was recent research presented at the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery Foundation 2009 meeting titled "Vitamin Intake and Risk of Hearing Loss in Men". The study identified 3,559 cases of men with hearing loss. They found that men over the age of 60 who have a higher intake of foods and supplements high in folates have a 20% decrease in risk of developing hearing loss. Some foods that are high in folates include spinach, asparagus, lettuce, beans, peas and sunflower seeds.
